03 · Scope, Gate & Change Intelligence On the roadmap
Control scope where it moves: at the gate and at the change.
Scope only matters when it moves. This module ties the scope baseline, stage gates, and change requests to the schedule, so every change arrives with its impact on time, cost, and risk, and every gate decision rests on evidence.
This module is on the roadmap. The capabilities below are what we plan to build, and customer feedback sets the order. Schedule Intelligence is available today.
Built for change and gate owners.
Who uses it
Project and engineering managers, project controls and change managers, and owners who run front-end loading and gate reviews.
Typical uses
- Check whether a project is ready to pass a stage gate.
- See a change request's effect on schedule, cost, and risk before it is approved.
- Find scope that has entered the schedule without an approved change.
- Plan construction work packages and release them when their constraints are clear.
Planned capabilities.
On the roadmap Each capability is listed with the decision it is meant to support. Predictions will be estimates, and findings will show patterns in the data rather than proof of cause.
| Capability | What it will do | Decision it supports |
|---|---|---|
| Define the scope | ||
| Scope baseline (WBS) | Holds the approved scope and work breakdown structure as the reference for every change. | What is in scope, and what is not. |
| Stage gates | Checks front-end loading (FEL) deliverables and gate criteria, and shows what is missing. | Whether a project is ready for the next gate. |
| Control change | ||
| Change requests | Routes requests through a workflow, and assesses their impact on schedule, cost, and risk using the connected modules. | Whether to approve, reject, or rework a change. |
| Change register and trends | Keeps every change and trend in one register, with status and value. | How much change the project carries, and where it comes from. |
| Scope creep detection | Compares the baseline and current schedules to find added work with no approved change. | Which additions need a change request. |
| Package the work | ||
| Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) | Organizes construction work areas and packages (CWAs, CWPs, IWPs) along the path of construction, and tracks their constraints. | Which packages are ready to release to the field. |

Questions about this module.
When will it be available?
Scope, Gate & Change Intelligence is on the roadmap. Customer feedback sets the order of the modules, and we share dates during a demo.
Can we help shape it?
Yes. Early-access customers work with us on the scope and the order of the capabilities, using their own project data.
Does it replace our change management system?
No. It can work from the changes recorded in your existing systems, such as Oracle Primavera Unifier, and adds the impact analysis and scope creep checks.
Which gate process does it support?
Stage-gate criteria are configurable, so it can follow your FEL and gate process rather than a fixed one.
